Hillsong Worship (formerly Hillsong Alive) is an Australian praise and worship group from Sydney, Australia, where they started making music in 1983 at Hillsong Church. Xv of their songs have appeared on the Billboard magazine charts in the The states, with "What a Beautiful Proper noun" (2016) representing their greatest success, reaching platinum in the U.s.. The band has some notable members, including Darlene Zschech, Marty Sampson, Brooke Fraser, Reuben Morgan, and Joel Houston.
Groundwork [edit]
The group was formed in 1983 out of Sydney, Commonwealth of australia, where they were located at Hillsong Church building, while now they are spread beyond the globe.[i] [2] Their members take gone on to individually successful careers, the likes of Darlene Zschech, Marty Sampson, Brooke Fraser, Reuben Morgan, and Joel Houston.[2] The grouping was called Hillsong Live until June 2014, when they took the proper noun Hillsong Worship.[3]

Hillsong Worship released its showtime album, Spirit and Truth, in 1988.[iv] Then, Evidence Your Glory in 1990,[5] The Power of Your Beloved in 1992, Rock's Been Rolled Away in 1993, People Simply Like U.s. in 1994, Friends in High Places in 1995, Shout to the Lord (their kickoff album in partnership with Integrity Music as part of the Hosanna! Music series) in 1996, God Is in the Firm in 1996, All Things Are Possible in 1997, and Touching Sky Changing World in 1998, Past Your Side in 1999, For This Crusade in 2000, Y'all Are My World in 2001, Blest in 2002, Hope in 2003, For All Y'all've Done in 2004, God He Reigns in 2005, Mighty to Save in 2006, Saviour King in 2007, This Is Our God in 2008, Faith + Hope + Beloved in 2009, A Beautiful Commutation in 2010, God Is Able in 2011, Cornerstone in 2012, Glorious Ruins in 2013, No Other Name, their commencement as Hillsong Worship, in 2014, Open Sky / River Wild in 2015, Let There Exist Light in 2016, The Peace Project in 2017, In that location Is More in 2018 and Awake in 2019.[6] All of the group's albums since 2004 take been charted in Commonwealth of australia.
The group has also seen twelve albums chart on the Billboard magazine charts, where there have been placements on the Christian Albums and the Heatseekers Albums charts (those were For All You lot've Done, God He Reigns, and Mighty to Save).[vii] Their albums Saviour Male monarch, This Is Our God, Faith + Hope + Love, A Beautiful Substitution, God Is Able, Cornerstone, Glorious Ruins, No Other Proper name, and Open Heaven / River Wild take charted on the Billboard 200 and Christian Albums charts.[vii] Ii of their albums, For All Yous've Done and Open Sky / River Wild, have reached number ane on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart.
In 2018, Hillsong Worship won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Operation/Song with "What a Cute Name".
Their albums have been recorded past the labels Hillsong Music, Sony Music, Integrity Music, Epic Records, Columbia Records, and Sparrow Records.[half-dozen]
